Xchanging wins Saudi contract
There is a possibility of new jobs and employee benefits to be created following a deal struck between Xchanging and Saudi Development and Training Company (SDT).
The London-based business processors will be responsible for sourcing a wide variety of learning material both in the UK as well as in Saudi Arabia. These will span over practical and technical courses as well as training to enhance English language skills.
Xchanging will also set up a network of vendors in order to procure the best of training materials and assessment modules. Emphasis will also be laid on developing modules to improve localisation and human resources solutions.
As part of the deal, besides setting up the sourcing hub, Xchanging will also be responsible for lending proper support to the learning and development courses produced by their Saudi counterparts.
Richard Houghton, chief financial officer at Xchanging, said: "We are delighted to be forming a relationship with SDT. It is also significant as it expands our procurement services business into the Middle East. We look forward to working with SDT to provide enhanced value from their supplier relationships".
