Promotion schemes 'motivate customer service workers'
Companies which offer adequate promotion schemes and employee benefits strategies to their members of staff could be seen to offer better services to their customers.
The claim comes as Ng Yong Hwee, president and chief executive of City Gas, told the Business Times that if staff are motivated by work-based incentives, they will provide better customer services.
He explained: "Good customer service starts from within. It's important that your frontline staff [are] motivated and willing to serve."
Mr Yong Hwee advised staff productivity, good customer services and employee benefits strategies go hand in hand and therefore, needs to be part of the mindset of all involved in the organisation.
Workers in the Malaysia region may soon be less motivated when it comes to their jobs and customer service skills, as it was recently revealed the government is contemplating raising the state pension age to for 58 to 60, according to The Star.
