Indian IT firm boosts its recruitment drive
Indian IT firm, MindTree, has announced its plans of enrolling 3,500 new employees onto its payroll in the financial year of 2011.
Employee reward and benefits will no doubt play an important role as the company strives to attract more talent and increase its workforce.
The IT firm recently announced that it had hired 1,324 workers during the first quarter of the present financial year which brought its total number of employee up to 9,012.
However, the company's profits for the same quarter dipped by 71 per cent to reflect Rs 15.8 crores.
A spokesperson for MindTree said: "We are creating capacity to grow businesses further. The recent employee hiring is around eight per cent of the entire team and this investment in capacity building have reflected in profits decline to some extent."
In other news, the Indian government recently resumed talks with Iran to further plans of having gas delivered to the country through a pipeline passing through Pakistan.
