Forbes publishes list of top 10 Asian beaches
Business magazine Forbes has published a list of the top ten beaches in Asia which could drive up tourism numbers and possibly make way for better employee reward in the sector.
Headlining the list are beaches in Indonesia, Thailand and Cambodia, which are not unknown to travellers in pursuit of the best sun and surf combination.
However, the surprise locations are tucked away in China, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.
The list was compiled by a distinguished panel comprised of Eliza Anderson of Intrepid Travel, Hong Kong-based photographer Graham Uden, food stylist Robert Carmack, Australian travel photographer and writer John Borthwick among others.
Some of the destinations on the list are quite remote and are not easily accessible to the general public.
Speaking to Forbes about Sulug Island off the coast of Malaysian Borneo, Ms Anderson said: "This is the quintessential deserted beach. You can be forgiven for thinking you've found paradise."
