Asia-Pacific increases IT spending

Countries in the Asia-Pacific region have made it clear that they would continue to invest in IT networks and infrastructure, which would probably better employee benefits in the sector.

The region is set to increase its budget for IT funding by 11 per cent according to recent data released by Forrester Research.

This report also highlighted that Canada will be headlining the list of countries significantly increasing their IT spending as they are set to raise their investments by 16.2 per cent.

The Canadians are closely followed by Latin America with countries willing to commit to a 15.4 per cent rise in their IT budget.

In the meantime, the USA has announced its intentions of injecting further cash into the technology sector to bring its total spending up to $564 billion, reflecting a 9.9 per cent rise.

However, the scenario is quite different in Europe due to the weak Euro and rising financial uncertainty. Funding in IT is set to drop by 0.7 per cent in the eurozone, confirmed Forrester Research.
