Graham Packaging sets a target of $300 million
New jobs and better employee benefits could be on the cards for China employees of the Graham Packaging company after having made its foray into the market through an acquisition.
The packaging firm has set an ambitious goal of achieving $300 million in sales that could see it taking on a newer workforce as a mean of increasing productivity and meeting output targets.
Speaking to Plastics News, Daniel Yu, general manager of Asia for Graham Packaging Co, confirmed that the company had recognised the potential for growth in the market and were going out all guns to make the most of the market opportunities.
He added: "The primary approach will be through mergers and acquisitions, and the secondary approach will be to build a plant in the case of very strategic single-customer relationships."
Graham Packaging Co entered the Chinese Market after taking over the Guangzhou-based plastic container manufacturer China Roots.
