Employee reward and benefits news

Taiwanese workers nap at work to keep themselves productive

Employers in Taiwan should be looking at flexible benefits that would allow staff to relax in the office, as growing numbers are found to nod off while at work.

Almost 50 per cent of respondents who participated in the survey conducted by 360d confirmed that they regularly took lunchtime naps in order to rejuvenate themselves.

The other popular method chosen by 71 per cent of workers to keep themselves active throughout the day was to listen to music.

Employees were found to be quite punctual with more than 60 per cent claiming that they had never been late to work, while 22 per cent claimed that they would be only be late once in a week.

Of the late-comers, 12 conceded to being late to work more than twice a week. Of this number 30 per cent were found to arrive later than their colleagues on an almost regular basis.
